Educate is a free ophthalmology and optometry learning site from Choroida. It collects clear, practical articles on eye disease, examination technique and retinal imaging, and groups them by subspecialty so you can find what you need quickly.
Who it is for
Educate is written for ophthalmology residents and fellows, optometrists, medical students and practicing clinicians who want a fast, reliable refresher on a condition, a sign or a test. Patients are welcome to read, but the articles are written for professionals and are not a substitute for an eye examination.
How the articles are made
Each article starts from a clinical question and is written in plain, direct language. Before publication, the content is checked against peer-reviewed sources and standard textbooks, and the references are listed at the end of every article so you can read the original papers. If you notice an error or an outdated statement, please tell us and we will correct it.
Quizzes and imaging
Many articles come with a short quiz so you can test what you remember. You can also try the full set on the Quizzes page. Educate is built by Choroida, which develops retinal imaging tools for everyday clinics, so imaging and fundus examination have a special place on the site.
A note on medical advice
The content on Educate is for education only. It does not replace clinical judgment or a consultation with a qualified eye care professional. If you have a problem with your eyes or vision, please see your eye doctor.
